Congratulations to our GMHA Award Winners
This year's GMHA Award Winners were announced at our AGM on April 12th.
Congratulations to:

Ryan Easton - Coach of the Year
Kasey Lucas - Manager of the Year
Chantal Hornbeck - Volunteer of the Year

Kasey was the manager for U11 Local League, Team 1. Kasey, a dedicated, hard working individual whose commitment, organizational & communication skills made the U11 season run effortlessly. She spearheaded our fundraising campaigns & organized multiple fundraisers. Kasey was also quick to offer assistance on the bench when needed, and can be depended on to communicate hockey schedules and events quite reliably.

Ryan was the Head Coach of our U11 Rep Team.  Coming off a strong season last year he coached his team to winning the EOMHL Tier 2 Division earning a trip to the OMHA Red Hats Championship Weekend Tournament in Barrie. They were the first Gan team in over a decade to make the OMHA Championships!! In addition to this they were the finalists at the Pembroke Silver Stick Tourney in November and won the Kids for Kids Tournament in Kingston this past March!

Chantal Hornbeck played a strong role in the behind the scenes success of the U13 Rep Team.  She looked after organizing the team photos and various fundraisers over the season. She took initiative of organzing the 50/50 ticket sales for her teams each home game. Always there with a smile and willingless to help out any member of the team.

Congratulation to all and thank you!!

THE FIRST GOAL IS HAVING FUN. The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Tim Hortons currently supports more than 300,000 children on teams in hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, coaching tools, participation medals and a local “Timbits Jamboree” to help kick off, or wrap up each season. For more information on registering for a Timbits Program in your community, please contact your local minor sports association.
