It's a great day for HOCKEY!!
Today was the last day of the 2021-2022 hockey season for our local league teams, all our teams participated in the ICHL Championship Day at various centres through the league.

U11 Black
Coach -- Chris Salmon
Assistant Coach -- Andrew Lucas
Trainer -- Terry Desharnais
Manager -- Katrina Smith

The last 24 hours has been busy for this team with three games played! They won their first two games with a strong performance by #16 Riley Salmon with a total of 5 goals but fell short in the third game losing a close one by a score of 2-1 vs PEC #1. They finished overall 4th in the B Pool.  


U11 White

Head Coach -- Andrew Clark
Assistant Coach -- Andrew Dickson
Trainer -- David Webster
Assistant Trainer -- Taylor Richardson
Manager -- Laura Webster

Gan White had a very strong playoff round, with winning 5 of their 7 games, earning top spot in the A final of their respective Pool. White is plyaing in Loyalist today and are matched up against PEC#2.  Gan clinched top spot in the B pool by defeating PEC by a score of 5-3, with Benjamin Schedler scoring four goals. 


U13

Head Coach -- Marty McConnell
Assistant Coach -- Scott Woodman
Trainer -- David Osmond
Manager -- Natalee Crozier

Gan clinched top spot in the B Playoff Pool with a 5-2-2 record. Gan hit the highway today and headed  down to Picton to play in the A final of their Pool. They defeated the Stirling #2 team by a score of 4-2. 


U15

Head Coach -- Andy Tsitiridis
Assistant Coach -- Paul Mayhew
Assistant Coach -- Mike Richards
Trainer -- James Watson
Manager -- Dale Shepherd

Gan had a strong team all season, finishing in second place during the regular season behind Frontenac #2. 
The playoffs saw these two teams battle for top spot. Their final match up came up today with Gan and Frontenac vying for top spot and winning the U15 division of the ICHL.  The game went back and forth and Gan tied up the game with 2 minutes left.  They remained tied after a 5 min OT period but lost out in the shoot out.  


U18 Red

Head Coach -- Mike Ferguson
Assistant Coach -- Chris Bruder
Trainer -- Rob Rose
Manager -- Catherine Ferguson

Gan Red had good  regular season and took this momento into the playoffs, where they finished third. Red found themselves in tough with Napanee 2 and home rival Gan Black. They managed to get home bragging rights by beating Gan Black  and tying  them their playoff games.  Gan Red finished the playoffs in 3rd spot overall in the playoffs where they played Napanee, whom they defeated 3-2


U18 Black

Head Coach -- Dale Fisher
Assistant Coach -- Shane Patreau
Trainer -- Trevor Wallis

Gan Black had a perfect regular season with a record of 14-0-0. This placed them in the A pool with a goal of winning the league championship.  The playoffs didnt start well for them but they fought back to get themselves in the A final game, where they played Napanee 2.  Gan won 4-2  


ICHL Championship Day also saw the following players finish their GMHA playing days: Teagan Fisher, Austin Patreau, Brecken Turner and Ethan Ubdegrove.  We wish you all the best in your future!!
