The GMHA Executive has been busy planning for the upcoming hockey season
and forecasting teams. In reviewing the U15 (Bantam) player list and taking
into account the players who have shown an interest in playing at the REP level
in the past, the numbers appear low to support a team.
We have taken the proactive
approach and have created a brief questionnaire that allows you to indicate to
us your child's plans for this upcoming season and whether or not they would be
trying out at the REP level. The GMHA Executive will use the results of
this to determine REP level numbers for the upcoming season.
If the questionnaire results indicate that we do not have the players to field a REP level team, the association will commence the procedure to request a 3.5 which would allow your child to try out at the REP level at the next nearest Centre.
To be eligible for a 3.5 card for your child, you must have indicated in the questionnaire below that your child was planning to try out for the Rep team in Gananoque. You cannot indicate that you are not willing to play Rep in Gananoque and then proceed to try out in Kingston if a 3.5 is declared. Regardless of where you have played in the past (outside of GMHA) Gananoque is still your home association, and you must complete the questionnaire below to be eligible in the event that a 3.5 is declared.
We have learned from history that planning early makes for a less hectic start up so we ask that you complete this by July 30th. The results will be shared the week of August 2nd.
