GMHA Update - August 18
Hello GMHA Families

The GMHA has formed a committee to look at our return to play options for the 2020-21 season. Recently we met and have created some sub-committees (health/safety, programming, communication, fundrasing/finance)  to determine our draft plan to submit to the OMHA for approval. We need to seek approval from the OMHA, the Town along with the local health unit before we can "hit the ice"

Starting September 1st OHF's Phase 3B comes into effect.

Registration this year is based on last years registered association, so if you played outside your association have the choice of: 1.you can return to your home association or 2. play for your rostered team from last year.

Teams can have up to 9 players +1 goalie. Play may consist of 3v3, 4v4 after at least a two week minimum development phase period.

There are no rep tryouts permitted at this time.

Leagues will be capped with a cohort of 50 players. Being in the Leeds and Grenville health unit GMHA is only able to play within the OMHA and the Leeds and Grenville Health Unit (no travel to HEO permitted).
The GMHA continues to require registration numbers to apply for teams at the various levels so registration is important.

Should you have any questions please direct them to Robb Bowman President GMHA @ [email protected] .

We will continue to share information on the programming moving forward as it is determined and we would like to get the information sent for approval within the next 10-14 day window.

Tim Horton's
THE FIRST GOAL IS HAVING FUN. The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Tim Hortons currently supports more than 300,000 children on teams in hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, coaching tools, participation medals and a local “Timbits Jamboree” to help kick off, or wrap up each season. For more information on registering for a Timbits Program in your community, please contact your local minor sports association.
