Message from the Executive
GMHA Families:

This message is being shared to all of you during these uncertain times. With the sudden and unfortunate end to the 2019-2020 hockey season, all hockey activities continue to be ceased at this time.

The current executive will continue to monitor and keep you posted with updates as they become available. Currently were monitoring the action items below and posting their current status:

1) 2020 AGM – Pending

2) 2020-2021 Rep Coaching Positions – Applications still being accepted for applicants - application can be found on website

3) Nominations for the 2019-2020 Volunteer (coach, manager, volunteer)awards will continue to be accepted - Please email your nominations to [email protected]

4) 2020-2021 Registration – Pending. Expected to open May/June – Please note: If you played outside of GMHA this current season you will be required to register with GMHA when the application is open. Failure to register with GMHA will result in the executives inability to provide you with a Permission to Skate (PTS) or a Non-Resident Player Card (NRP).

5) Jerseys – Should you have a jersey from this past season GMHA asks that you keep this readily available to be returned (cleaned) to your manager at a time when it’s safe to do so. Failure to return your jersey from the current season may result in a replacement charge.

We hope everyone remains safe and is taking all precautionary measures with social distancing and self isolating. Should you have any questions please contact the responsible executive member for for your request. Note that that during these times responses will be when answers are known and or deemed essential.

Stay safe from your President and the GMHA Executive!

THE FIRST GOAL IS HAVING FUN. The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Tim Hortons currently supports more than 300,000 children on teams in hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, coaching tools, participation medals and a local “Timbits Jamboree” to help kick off, or wrap up each season. For more information on registering for a Timbits Program in your community, please contact your local minor sports association.
