ICHL Championship Day Weekend
This weekend was the final weekend for our teams participating in the ICHL, traditionally called "Championship Day Weekend".

Congratulations to our Novices, Bantam Red and Midget Red for all winning!!

The novices, coached by Fraser Hambleton defeated Frontenac 3-2.  A hat trick for Conlan Scott!!

Both Gan Bantam teams battled in the final game, with the Red team winning 4-3 in OT.  Colby Davis scored the winning goal, assisted by Gavin Best.

The Midget Red, coached by Dave Kinsella, defeated Deseronto 2 in a very tight game by a score of 3-2.  It looked like OT was going to happen but Nick Kennedy scored the game winner on a breakaway with 14 seconds left!!

The Peewee crew won the B final in Loyalist defeating PEC 1 by a score of 2-1, winning goal by Jordan Kirkland.

Our atoms lost to PEC3 yesterday in a close game by 3-1, Gan's lone goal was scored by Zach Warren.

Our Midget Black, coached by Scott Lackie, had a busy weekend! They played in a tournament in Coleborne on Saturday and headed to Stirling for the B Finals today, losing 5-3 to Napanee 1.

CONGRATS to all our teams on a great season!!

THE FIRST GOAL IS HAVING FUN. The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Tim Hortons currently supports more than 300,000 children on teams in hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, coaching tools, participation medals and a local “Timbits Jamboree” to help kick off, or wrap up each season. For more information on registering for a Timbits Program in your community, please contact your local minor sports association.
