Submitted By Administration on Saturday, February 16, 2019
The GMHA Executive is looking to our membership for input into our year end awards for both Local League Teams and Rep Teams. These awards will presented at our AGM on April 9th.The hockey season is flying by once again.

It is now time to recognize our volunteers on the exceptional jobs they have done for your son/daughter during this hockey season.

REP Coach of the Year and Local League Coach of the Year (two awards):  This award is presented to an individual who has given many hours of dedication to their team.  The recipient of this award reflects the coaching standards of GMHA, which include showing respect for players and parents, officials, and opponents.

They demonstrate concern for the development of the player and provide a positive image of coaching.  Last year recipients were Steve Hedderson (REP) and Natalee Crozier (Local League).

REP Manager of the Year and Local League Manager of the Year (two awards): Behind every team is a hard working manager. The team manager is the central figure in creating the flow of communication within the team -- players, parents and coaches. Typically they handle the operational and administration roles of the team so that the coach is able to focus on his role.Last years recipients were Brian Ritchie (REP) and Tina Heurter (Local League).

GMHA Volunteer of the Year, this award is presented to an individual who has given countless hours over the year(s)for the good of the association.  Last years recipient was Chris Bruder.

If you have someone in mind that you feel is deserving of recognition for the roles they did this hockey season please send your nomination in an email to [email protected] by no later than March 20th.

Your input into these awards is appreciated.
