Hockey Funding Available through Canadian Tires "The Big Play Program"
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities now offers funding for hockey through The Big Play Program. This is on a first come first served basis.
In 2005, Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities was launched to address an issue of national concern; the inactivity of kids. National in scope, but local in its focus, Jumpstart helps kids in financial need participate in organized sports and physical activities by assisting with the costs associated with registration, equipment and/or transportation. Over 1,000,000 kids have been helped through JumpStart since 2005!
Launched in 2015 The Big Play is a joint program between Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and the Hockey Canada Foundation, which gives kids aged four through 18, the opportunity to play organized hockey.
For kids, the opportunity to play hockey is about more than getting active: sports equip kids for life by teaching important skills like courage, confidence and teamwork. All kids deserve the chance to learn, grow and have fun with their peers, and through The Big Play, we are giving more kids that opportunity. Over 1600 kids nationwide where helped in the first year!!
