PEEWEE RED TEAM WINS "A FINALS" IN SMITH'S FALLS TOURNEY
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PEEWEE RED TEAM!

On Saturday November 26th, 2016 the Peewee Red House League team played in a one day tournament in Smith Falls.  We started our day out against the Metcalfe Jets with an impressive win of 11-0, earning our goalie a shut out.

Our next game was against the Smith Falls Bears, and with a victory of 7-1 we improved our record for the day to 2-0.  With this win it put us into the A final championship game against the South Stormont Selects.  The lead went back and forth throughout the game and was a definitely a nail biter for the Gan Supporters in attendance, but our boys and were determined and persistent and came out on top with a 3-2 win to earn them the A Final Championship.    This is the second year in a row that a Gananoque Peewee House League team has won this title.

THE FIRST GOAL IS HAVING FUN. The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Tim Hortons currently supports more than 300,000 children on teams in hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, coaching tools, participation medals and a local “Timbits Jamboree” to help kick off, or wrap up each season.
